DHA: Maternal intake of DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and the breast-fed nursing baby. The beneficial effects are obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg of omega-3 fatty acids for adults (DHA + EPA).
