Inositol is a natural compound that belongs to vitamin B complex. It is present in a variety of foods such as cereals high in bran, nuts, meats, fruits and vegetables.

In the body inositol is part of structural components.

Folic acid is a B vitamin (vitamin B9). It is found in the liver, nuts and cereals. Contributes to the cell division process. In addition, folic acid promotes normal homocysteine metabolism.

Vitamin D, at a concentration of 10ug, is fundamental in cell division as well as calcium absorption, which is essential for the maintenance of our bones. It is a rare vitamin in the usual foods in current diets, being present mostly in fatty fish such as mackerel or salmon.

Folic acid is recommended not only prior to conception, but it is also advisable to take it during pregnancy and even about three months after delivery. Ovusitol-D contains 400ug of folic acid being this fundamental in cell division playing an important role in the normal metabolism of homocysteine.
