L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that cannot be synthesized in the body
It is found in large amounts in muscle tissue and is important for tissue growth and repair, and for the production of hormones, enzymes and antibodies, and increases iron bioavailability. L-Lysine plays an important role in the formation of collagen along with proline, glycine, vitamin C and copper. It also promotes the absorption of Calcium, thus contributing doubly to the formation and maintenance of bones.
It appears that L-Lysine affects the replication of the Herpex Simplex virus (Type I), reducing the frequency and severity of herpes attacks. It acts in this sense antagonisticly to Arginine, which promotes viral replication.
How to use
Take one capsule a day preferably fasting.
