Sound: A beep is emitted when the meter is turned on, when a test strip is inserted, when the test strip is full of blood, or when an on-screen test result appears. Issues two beeps when the meter is turned off or an error occurs. Issues 20 beeps when a scheduled reminder is triggered.
Limitations
- Preservatives: Blood may be collected by healthcare professionals in test tubes containing heparin. Do not use any other anticoagulants or preservatives.
- Altitude: At a height of up to 6301 meters, the results will not be significantly affected.
- Analysis in alternative locations: Do not use for analysis in alternative locations.
- Peritoneal dialysis solutions: Icodextrin does not interfere with test strips CONTOUR NEXT.
- Contraindications: Hair Care blood glucose tests may not be clinically appropriate for people with reduced peripheral blood flow. Shock status, severe hypotension, hyperosmolar hyperglycemia, and severe dehydration are examples of clinical tables that can negatively affect peripheral blood glucose measurement.
- Interference: Reducing substances naturally present in the blood or from therapeutic treatments do not significantly affect the results. Refer to the test strip package leaflet for more information.
- Xylose: Do not use the meter during or shortly after performing an xylose absorption test. Xylose in the blood will cause interference
